Moon images

Best seen in full resolution (click on the image) ; seeing was not really good during the capture, with blasts of bad seeing and once in a while a fraction steady.

7-panel mosaic with the ASI 183mm and the C11. The Image of the ASI is so large that the field curvature of the C11 becomes visible. I need to apply the Starizona flattener/reducer next time.

Hortensius, Milichius and about 8 lunar domes can be seen on this picture. The domes are shield volcanoes. Please read the Sky & Telescope article
Vallis Schröteri with the cobrahead and the internal rille. At the smallest point, the valley is 1 km wide. The cobra head is 6 km diameter.
