Timelapse through the Corona night

With a Color camera, a ZWO ASI 290MC, this is how the night looked, from March 15 on March 16th 2020. Some airplanes fly over, but not as many as usual. It also clearly shows how the public lighting switches off – and at the end of the night switches on again. At 1:18 there is a small meteor flying briefly from south to north. At the end of the night, also the Moon and I guess Jupiter shine through the Walnut tree in the garden.

Jupiter and Antares

Amazing what a difference if you move south with 20° latitude!! That is what happened travelling to Cairo. Constellations and planets are soo much higher in the sky. Was it not for the severe light pollution (estimation SQM 19), the whole constellation of Scorpius would be visible. The upward light rays to the northeast are part of the ‘famous’ sound-and lightshow of the Pyramids.
