Lunar eclipse September 7th

A crowd gathered at the Marollenkapel in Hoegaarden.

People came from all directions, on foot, biking, with strollers, kids, dogs, camera’s & telescopes. There was a traffic jam. About 70 eclips viewers gathered.

The Moon itself kept them waiting because it first had to clear a cloud layer before even become visible. The first images were fuzzy and cloudy at best, giving some dramatic scenes with a rediish Moon crossed with cloud layers resembling any alien planet.

Oopsie

When you are focused on stacking & sharpening images ….. instead of watching the sky!

Meanwhile outside: 14cm of snow this morning! I had to clear the snow from the ROR before opening the roof
