This session might have been our last Grandpré, as the host are moving out, the future of the gite is at present unsure.
We could enjoy a last clear starry winter sky, with Jupiter almost in the zenit, and the Milky Way going down to the south left of Sirius. We did some visual observing with the “Bert-scope” 63cm of beautiful objects like the Owl nebula, M42, The Flame, M82, M13 and many more. All impressive beyond imagination.
The imaging rig was the 76mm apo doing some work in Cepheus – dark nebula’s. The fog came up around 2 am, so I only scored 4 hours of images. More is needed in the next weeks.
